How to use our fertilizer
Shoulder Seasons
In the spring, a few weeks before planting, cast frass all over your growing area then cover with mulch.

In the late summer, before your fall plantings, do the same.

Recommended:
approx. 1 lb/20-32 sq ft

Transpanting
When transplanting place a scoop of frass into the planting hole and mix with growing medium.
When transplanting trees show restraint. Over-fertilizing can limit root growth.

Recommended:
2 tsp - 1 tbsp for annuals
2-3 tbsp for perenials

Seed Starting
Once the true leaves have formed we recommend using a frass tea and bottom watering your seedlings. Do this once every 3rd to 4th watering.

Recommended:
1-2 tbps/1 gal of water
steep for 6-12 hours using the provided tea bag

Growing
Throughout the growing season experiment using frass as a tea, foliar spray, and top dress. This can be used weekly for heavy feeders and as a spray for pests and disease. Don't worry, you wont burn your plants. Enjoy your bounty!
Recommended:
Foliar spray 1c/gal
Top dress 1 lb / 32 sq ft
Tea 1-2 c/gal

Potting Mix
Recommended:
- 2/3 soil-less mix, coco coir or peat moss

- 1/3 mix of vermiculate, perlite, and sand 1:1:1 ratio

- 1 cup frass/1 gal potting mix

House plant care
- Feed every 1-2 months using frass tea.
- once a year refresh potting mix with recommended mix.
- top dressing house plants is not recommended as frass tends to stay above soil level and can look unsightly.

Recommended:
2 tbsp/gal steeped for 6-12 hours. For heavy feeders use more. Will not burn.

Seed Starting Mix
Recommended:
- 2/3 soil-less mix, coco coir or peat moss

-1/3 mix of vermicuilte and perlite 1:1 ratio

*wait until true leaves form to use frass tea*

Frass Tea
Your insect frass fertilizer will include tea bags. Use and re-use them every time you want to make tea. Steep for 6-12 hours.
Note: steeping too long will cause and anaerobic reaction to occur as the bacteria in the frass will consume all the oxygen in the water. This will lead to a foul smell. It is still good to use but can be off putting.
