But what really makes insect frass a unique amendment are the other chemical components, read ahead.
Stronger Plants
naturally improves resistance to insects and disease
What makes insect frass fertilizer so unique is the chemical reponse the plant undergoes. Once introduced to the plant the frass will trigger the release of chemicals called chitinases. In turn, the plants immune responses are significantly increased. Chitinases harm plant eating insects while simultaneously inducing pathogen defenses. In short, your plants will be more resistant to chewing insects, fungus and pathogens.

Microbial Biomass
more microbes equals better nutrient absorption
Because our insect frass is in its raw form it contains a significant amount of microbial biomass, AKA beneficial microbes. The presence of these microbes are what is needed on a biochemical level for plants to uptake nutrients from the soil. Increasing the amount of soil microbes makes your plants more efficient at absorbing nutrients. Our frass fertilizer is alive, and its purpose is to make your plants healthier.
